Relay For Life is a fun and unique 24-hour event to increase cancer awareness in Camarillo while raising much-needed funds for the American Cancer Society’s programs and services. Teams composed of up to 20 people formed by local businesses, community groups and individuals raise funds prior to the event. at the Relay, team members take turns walking or running around a track, relay-style and enjoy fun activities and entertainment off the track. A team of Semtech employees participated in the 24 hour walking and running event.
Semtech’s team sponsorship was a collective effort that involved the company and employees who participated in company-sponsored events including bake sales, auctions, a garage sale and contests to raise the funds. Semtech employees raised a total of about $7,250. Semtech Corporation and the President and CEO, donated the balance to achieve the $20,000 donation to Relay For Life.
